1) How did you two meet?
Through a mutual friend
2) How did he pop the question?
During a hike at Borderland state park, right near the Lilly pond
3) What was your favorite moment(s) from the wedding?
Brittany’s favorite moment was Jon’s face as she was walking down the aisle. And Jon’s favorite moment was watching Brittany come down the aisle.
4) How long have you been together?
Three years
5) How would you describe your overall wedding experience?
We loved every minute! Everything went exactly the way we wanted!
6) What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding?
Do you all the very big things at the beginning, because you don’t realize how many little things you have to do the closer you get to the wedding
7) What photography-related advice would you offer to a couple?
Make sure you develop a good rapport with the photographer. If you don’t get a good vibe during a meeting with the photographer, it might be best to look elsewhere. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your actual wedding day so you want to make sure you’re comfortable around him or her.
8) Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?
I got my dress at a bridal boutique. It wasn’t the dress I was looking for originally and I was trying on very different styles to start. The consultant helping me wrap my dress into the room and had me try it on. The second I put it on immediately burst into tears, and when I showed it to my family and friends they also burst into tears. And that’s how I knew that was the one. My dress was a strapless A-line with a layered lace trim skirt, and the top was lease with a sweetheart neckline.
9) How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?
It felt easy! Stephen knew all the places to go, all the angles, all the poses and how to get everyone in the photos to smile! Stephen was always right there if we had a specific picture he wanted, and any request we had he made sure to get a picture of it! Stephen was very easy to work with, and we got along very well with him! We definitely hope to use him again in the future
10)Did you see each other before the wedding? If not, did you like waiting or would you have rather done it differently? Tell me why or why not!
We did not do a first look. We wanted to do it very traditional, Jon Had no idea what Brittany was going to look like! We love the side of the surprise and again keeping it very traditional. We are happy we stuck with our decision to not do a first look though. Both reactions were priceless
11)Any tips on how to prepare for the wedding photos?
Have somewhat of an idea of the pictures you want taken. But also trust your Photographer to know exactly the right pictures that should be taken. If you have an idea of a specific location you want the photographer to take photos at make sure you let them know.
12)Any tips that you have about preparing your wedding party for the photos? What did you tell them, how did you get them to cooperate, what did you do or what would you have done differently?
We pretty much ran through everything at the rehearsal. During the rehearsal we talked about what pictures would be taken when, and we discuss group pictures after the ceremony and just making sure the whole bridal party and parents knew not to leave after the ceremony so we can do pictures. We made it clear that Steve the Photographer was in charge.
14)We love to hear about vendors you love. List any vendors here and feel free to share your experience. Be sure to include the name of the vendor, their profession, city/state, site or Facebook page and how your experience was!
We used Unique Sounds for our DJ, and we had DJ Chris! He was awesome! They are located in Raynham, MA. When we met with Chris we asked him to just make sure everybody was dancing the whole night, and he definitely follow through!
We also used Delicious Endeavors for our cake. Joyce was amazing to work with! She made our vision come alive and all the flavors she did were delicious! She is located in Wareham, MA.
For the flowers we used Heritage Flowers in Lakeville, MA. From the first meeting Darlene was extremely easy to work with, and her team was also amazing! She took what we were thinking for colors and made us beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces!
We used Rockstar Limo for a limo and shuttle service. They arrived on time and ensure that our guest arrived safely to and from the venue!
Obviously we used Stephen Sedman for Photographer! We couldn’t be happier with the work he did, and can’t thank him enough! We are very happy with the way our photos came out! We did our engagement photos with him and he shot our wedding day! We are thrilled with his work!
We highly recommend our vendors!
15)Did you find a store/site that had everything you were looking for? Use this space to talk about favorite shops. You can include where you got your dress, sites you got your veils/décor/accessories, etc.
We honestly did a lot on Etsy, Amazon, and Michael’s craft store! Those three saved our life! We did a lot of DIY.
16)What were you most anxious, nervous or fearful about regarding your wedding day and what was the outcome?
I think our two biggest worries were that transportation wasn’t going to show up, and the weather! Luckily enough transportation came through! And the rain held out, however, we ended up moving the ceremony inside because outside was still wet! The Villa Did a really amazing job preparing the inside for our ceremony last minute!
17)What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding?
Take a deep breath and try not to stress. Sounds easier said than done. He just try to have to enjoy every minute because it goes by so fast. It’ll all be worth it on your big day!
18)What kind of food was served at your reception?
For cocktail hour we had a mashed potato bar, and passed hors d’oeuvres.
For dinner the meal choices were barrel cut filet with mashed potatoes or Corn bread stuffed chicken with a four berry sauce. For our vegetarian guests we had a vegetable risotto. The food was amazing!
19)What was the first song you danced to as husband and wife? Father-daughter dance? Mother-son dance?
