FAQ
- How much is the retainer(deposit)? The retainer to reserve photography services for your day is 1/3 of the package total.
- Do you take credit card? Yes
- Do you have the option to set up a payment plan? Standard payment plan is 1/3 retainer, 1/3 30 days before the event and the last 1/3 by the day of the event. Early payments are accepted. Monthly payments are available too.
- How does the booking process work? Once you have decided to book. Call or email me and I will give you a link to an online contract. You will fill out the contract and then it will prompt you for payment in the online form. It's that easy. If you prefer we can do it the old fashioned way in my studio. Once you have completed the contract and payment the date is yours.
- When is the remainder of the package amount due? Standard payment plan is 1/3 retainer, 1/3 30 days before the event and the last 1/3 by the day of the event. Early payments are accepted.
- Do you have an assistant for the wedding day? Most of our wedding packages include an assistant/2nd photographer.
- Do you have backup equipment? I have backup equipment and a great variety of the latest technology and great quality equipment.
- How far in advance should I book? Typically I book 9 months to 1.5 years out. Of course even if your event is a month away please call and I'll check my availability.
- Will you attend our rehearsal? Rehearsal coverage is not included in any of my packages. If you would like photographic coverage of the rehearsal it is available at $300 per hour.
- What if I want an item not included in your pricing guide? If you do not see something that you want then please ask. I will be happy to look into adding options that you want.
- I’m pretty sure I want to hire you, but I still need to visit one other photographer. Will you hold the date? I will hold your wedding date for a week from any meeting without a retainer. after the week is up the date is available for other people to book.
- Will I be able to print my photos on my own? Yes. All packages come with a high resolution set of images that are suitable for printing.
- Do you take traditional family portraits? Yes. We will go over must have photos, but it is standard for me to take family portraits of each side. If you do not want photographs of family please let me know and I will not take them.
- How long does it take to get our photos back? Your images will be posted online in 4 to 6 weeks. Sometimes they are ready sooner, but that is the quoted time frame. At that point you can pick up your high resolution set of images and order your album.
- Do you edit all of the images? All images are adjusted for color, density, contrast, cropping and sometimes minor defects. Some images may receive more major editing for an art look or be rendered in black and white.
- Do I get to choose the images for my album? Yes. When the photos are posted online you will select the images that you would like in your album. After notifying me of the selections, your album will be designed and a proof will be available online for your review.
- Can I share my photos online with my friends and family? Yes. My website is a convenient way to share your images with friends and family. They can also purchase prints of the images there too.
- Who will be my photographer? We have two lead photographers, Stephen and Scott. Picking a photographer is personal. We recommend meeting with either Stephen or Scott and decide who you want to invite to your wedding. The photographer you meet is the photographer that will be at your event except in extreme cases such as sickness or injury, and then be assured we have backup.
- Could you shoot my engagement session? Yes. Some packages include an optional engagement session. If it is not included then you can purchase one here.
