William and Susie met in a coffee shop in Sedona while Susie was driving across the country from Martha’s Vineyard to Los Angeles. They didn’t exchange contact info that day, so when they saw each other at a New Year’s Eve party, the connection was sparked by deep conversation and William requested staying in touch this time, even though he was leaving the next day to embark on a three month journey through Colombia. When he arrived he found her on Facebook and what’s app and they began chatting. In the mean time, Susie decided to return to Martha’s Vineyard to open an apothecary shop. Disappointed, William responded sweetly with support. A week later in a meditation, Susie had an experience where William appeared. Simultaneously, with the contract in hand to rent the building for her shop, she somehow couldn’t sign it and told William of her new plans to move to Sedona in the fall. This news delighted William and they kept in touch regularly, sending each other inspirations and poetry and videos and photos of their respective lives. Susie had planned to go to Sedona for a retreat in April and it just so happened that William had planned to return and attend this event as well. The timing was perfect for them to meet in person on purpose at that time. As his departure from Colombia approached and Susie packed her bags for a week in Sedona, William asked if it was possible for her to stay for a month. Without hesitation, she agreed to spend more time together. It became clear right away that they were meant to be together. After six days, they decided to get married. A day later, they shared vows and exchanged rings in front of William’s alter and they committed to one another. A few weeks later, they drove William’s car to Massachusetts and planned for a small and sweet island wedding with Susie’s close friends and family. It rained the day before but that didn’t stop Susie’s two best friends, Coral and Nicole from setting up the space and stringing lights in the dark to create the intimate space Susie and William had envisioned. Family started to arrive that evening and the couple shared their plan to cook lobsters for their guests. Nicole and Susie’s brother, Harry took charge and magically created the most incredible spread imaginable. The rain turned to a light drizzle and they were able to decorate the chuppah William built with roses and lillies. The ceremony was beautiful, thanks to Susie’s generous friend, John who married them by the power vested in him by the universe and William and Susie’s spontaneous vows that made for a teary eyed crowd and lots of beautiful photos of the laughter and the love shared. Steve took them to the beach for a photo shoot and Susie and William could barely stop smiling and laughing. Their love was and is palpable and Steve was really able to capture it on camera. They are so grateful to have photographic memories to look back and recall their special day. Now Susie and William are living in Sedona and plan to start a family. They look forward to visiting Massachusetts and family and to continue the tradition of having professional photos taken as life continues to unfold. They are so grateful for Steve’s work. It was effortless and so much fun to feel like movie stars for a day. Thank you so much.
